Help 4 U are a property
maintenance and improvement company based in Cornwall.
They "provide excellent, polite and
professional service in all aspects of property services, development and
improvements"
and wanted
a website that was both modern and inviting, but that didn't look like a
standard home maintenance page.
So I made a site which had more of a lifestyle feel and emphasised the approachibility of the company, to encourage people who are intimidated by this kind of world.
The site was made in collaboration with another local company who took care of the content management side of things, the logo was Help 4 U's own and I took care of the rest of the site design.
The site is coded to web standards using bespoke CSS layouts.
Urban Fresh Fruit are based in Derbyshire who make dried fruit snacks, that are really, really good for you. They taste wonderful too. The mango is particularly grand and I thoroughly recommend you seek their food out.
The guys over at Urban Fresh Fruit wanted a website that combined the healthy message with the wonderful illustrations that the mighty Hennie Haworth has done for them and also to make the site fun. Dried fruit has a rather staid reputation that they want to dispel. I've done my best to do that for them.
I'm working for these guys on an indefinite basis, updating the site, improving its search engine positioning and occasionally contributing to their 'Not a Blog'. I've managed up to now to not just fill it with book and music reccomendations, but it is only a matter of time....
It has been made to W3C web standards using bespoke CSS layouts and has
a rather awesome content management system which enables the company to update parts of the site themselves.
I must admit that I am rather proud of this site...
It is not everyday that I'm asked to make a website that will be specifically directed to the Brazilian market but so it went with Urbindimo, a clothes store based in Brazil and the US.
They wanted an ecommerce store that reflected their products and company ethos. So I've made a site which has a quirky but stylish quality. And some cool colours too, I'm rather known for my liking of the colour pink, much to my lady's concern, and I got to mix that with some subtle greens.
The site has an admin area which is easy to maintain and add product too, giving Urbindimo the chance to run a full shop with the possibility of gift vouchers, offers, sales, everything that a store could need.
Making this site highlighted for me personally all the things I love about the internet. Communication was awesome between Urbindimo and myself, despite being so far apart and never actually meeting and we created a site that both myself and, most importantly, they are very happy with.
